ok i still cant get over what happened last night - it was a hair raising event, salamat kay sir raimund for producing the gig last nyt. it was nostalgic, feeling of being elated, lahat na ng kakaibang feeling. basta kakaiba, lalo na sa mga kabataang lumaki nung 90s, iba talaga ung feeling kagabi.

imagine this - raimund on drums, buddy on bass, diego (sandwich) on guitars, kris (wife of ebe) on the other guitar and DONG THE ONLY ONE ABAY on vocals singing old skul yano hits - i almost shit on my pants. lumang yano, banal na aso, tsinelas ni mang kulas, basta lahat ng sikat na kanta ng yano dati.

second was TEETH - ung kumanta ng laklak, ang maganda dito kumpleto ung banda P*&^%$#@ ngayon lang uli sila tumugtog at si ebe (sugarfree) ang bokalista = singing all TEETH's hits - i almost peed on my pants.

may 3 kanta din ang fatal posporos - sobrang sulit.

at ang main course, ang grand finale, siempre ERASERHEADS tribute. raimund on drums, buddy on bass, jugs (itchyworms) and kris on guitars - and THE JET PANGAN on vocals - eto na talaga, sabay akogn naihi at natae hehe. paos paos na lahat ng tao pero kantahan lang ng kantahan - akala ko nga tapos na pero kumanta pa si raimund. what a night..... definitely something ill take to my grave.

chit chat chow with mommy chris

i registered (again) to this month's chit chat chow - it is a regular event within Accenture where you can talk personally with our top execs, and this session's manager is mommy chris.

nakapunta na ako sa ibang chit chat chow - last time was with boss ron c. (pronounced as roncy). sobra na syang kilala kasi mabait talaga sya, pag sinabi mo ang pangalang RON C , naku mag aapir na lang kayo ng kausap mo hehe

last time was more intimate - kasi mas konti ang participants and tahimik yung room. problem was - the food sucks kasi nagpadeliver lang but the outcoem was good. this time kasi maingay ung napiling lugar ni mommy chris, sa UCC, ung coffee shop sa the fort (baby, wala na ata dun si ailyn) grabe ang ingay, so hirap na hirap magkwento si chris, medyo mahina pa nman magsalita un - but still the outcome was good.

last time - the questions were more direct, and hindi na masyado nagusap about promotions, salaries - more on how to balance life and work, tsaka what is the plan of the company in the next 5 years. yung kanina kasi mor eon promotion, at salaries ung usapan - pero mas masarap ung food (^_^)

ok ok ok - i am part of the sandwich mailing list, which according to the internet - is the most active mailing list of any local bands in the country. they always have updates, and they do answer most of the questions - kahit tanong ko nasagot eh hehe

anyways, eto ang nangyari last july 16 - sandwich and sugarfree are scheduled for the night on 70s bistro, at kwento ni raimund, nakita daw nya si rico blanco (rivermaya) at si clem (ng orang and lemons) sa crowd. after ilang pagloko daw ni raimund eh umakyat na rin daw ng stage si rico at clem - they performed several 80's songs which includes boys dont cry and blisters in the sun. just when they thought it was over - dumating si buddy (dating bassist ng eheads, at currently ng the dawn) and he decided to jam as well = the result is OMFGROCKENROLLHELICOPTERZIPZAPKABOOM

muntik na uli akong maihi sa pagkakaupo ko - another special gig na napalagpas ko >_< and unfortunately di sila tutugtog sa saguijo this month >_<

anyways, malapit na pala bday ni vingua - sa 28, he texted me and asked for a gift - uy vingua alam kong di mo to nababasa pero happy birthday na rin hehe

bowling FTW

ok ok this is the first time na nag-blog ako about my bowling activity - tama ba? hmmm tinatamad na akong magback track but anyways, my friend - emman, who is a bowling master wannabe :) included me in his bowling team alongside with other DFG members - and the rest was history.

first of all, im not a bowling afficionado, though i enjoy the sports with my friends - masakit sa kamay hehe, pero last saturday marks the 3rd leg of the tournament within Accenture. Hmmmm, come to think of it, medyo madalas ang bowling tournament na ito, halos walang pahinga hehe - kasi halos katatapos lang nung last na tourney eh. We have the same team but with additional members - parehing magaling, ung isa talagang magaling, nag aaverage ng 190 eh TAE TAE TAE - 190!!!!!!!?!?!?!?!! for the uneducated in this line of sport, ung 190 sa bowling eh similar siguro sa pagkapanalo sa billiards game ng 3 sunod-sunod ng walang mintis na tira, as in pag sargo mo hanggang sa pagpasok mo ng 9 ball, tapos gagawin mo un ng 3 sunod-sunod na beses. ayan, ganyan kahirap, kasi kahit anong gawin mo, hindi mo matsatsambahan ung 190 sa bowling, talagang ginagawa sya, talagang pinaghihirapan.

more than meets the eye

just watched transformers last nyt - and let me just get this off my chest P(*U&^%$#@@!!!!!! ANG GANDAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

there you go - hehe basta maganda, sulit pera, anyways yun naman ang basehan ko ng magandang movie eh - if at teh end of the movie - you will realize na worth it yung binayad mo, it doesn't matter kung anong genre, basta paglabas mo ng sinehan alam mong sulit.

anyways, i really grew up on transformers though i cannot really remember the main story back then - mahalaga nagtratransform sila at alam ko kung sino ang bida. weird, kasi nalaman ko na lang talaga ang story ng transformers eh nung malaki na ako, internet na rin kasi.

the movie was long but it was worth it from the opening minutes. several dull moments are filled with comedic performances that seems to bridge the gaps seamlessly. right the middle of things - is the in-your-face action that i haven't seen or compare to other movies, michael bay's idea for the movie has been faithfully captured through every stills and you will not feel that there is something lacking (or sobra).

i thought optimus prime will be sacrificed since optimus prime has also been killed in the cartoon series. megatron actually transform into a powerful gun in the cartoons, but he updated to the same jet-like machine in the movies after the transformers the movie (the cartoons). sayang, mas ok nga cguro kung baril si megatron, tapos hahawakan lang sya nung mga kakampi nya. another good thing is that they opened several holes for a sequel - for starters, starscream was seen escaping earth's atmosphere at the end of the movie. starscream has always been the wannabe-leader of the decepticons so he must be the main protagonist on the sequel. i think scorponok was able to escape the onslaught as well, tama ba? anyways, i heard on the internet that teh insecticons and the constructicons will debut on the sequel. sino pa bang gus2 kong makita? dinobots siempre, and im sure mamamatay na si optimus sa part II and it will create a bridge for the trilogy hehe.

overall - 41/2 out of 5 tickets

rivermaya - they should do a tribiute

ok rivermaya has not disbanded - but rico blanco already left the band; not sure if i am in the position to say what officially happened but rico has decided to be quiet about it and what ive been reading so far points out to rico pursuing a solo career - not sure in music, but may be on other mediums (photography, painting, etc)

sayang, mas matagal na sila sa eraserheads - and rico blanco may be better than ely when in comes to creating music through the years - kasi si ely hindi na masyado makacreate ng kakaibang music, na-tag na ung music nya with eraserheads - but hey, eraserheads still tops my list :)

anyways, last saturday was again a day i missed another part fo my life, sayang tumugtog pala sugarfree, sandwich, rivermaya (minus rico) sa saguijo (>_<) just thinking of the things i missed, muntik na akong maihi uli sa kinauupuan ko hehe
