ok ok - hanggang ngayon inaalala ko pa rin ang nangyari kagabi. first time ko na manood ng play4serve at matagal ko ng inaabangan to. dumating kami ni xter sa saguijo 10:30 na at tumutugtog na ang bandang shirley - pagpasok nmin sa pintuan may mga nakaupo na sa sahig so di na kami makapasok sa likod. nagstay na lang kami sa may pintuan katabi ng banda - ayuz.

ok ok, bandang shirley - di ako familiar sa kanila pero catchy music, naubusan na raw sila ng kanta kaya nagcover ata sila nung last song nila. second band for the night - twisted halo, ang vocalsit nito ay kapatid ni ebe ng sugarfree, magkamukhang magkamukha sila hehe at nagbiro pa nung pinakilala ung buong band na sya daw si ebe (sabay nag sigawan ung mga tao hehe) - sorry wala silang tinugtog na familiar sa akin.

third band was actually their debut performance of some sorts - daster (as in lola daster), composed of myrene academia from sandwich, katwo librando of Narda (who posed for FHM last december) and is also sporting a semi bald head, kris dancel of cambio (asawa ni ebe ng sugarfree), at isang babae na di ko kilala hehe sorry. for fun lang naman ung band, and their songs are mostly rip-offs from their main bands - i can still sing their addict song na ala-DVDX hehe

next band was peryodiko - the new band of twisted halo's frontman vin, weird nga eh, nagdisband na ung twisted halo, pero almost same members ung sa peryodiko - i think may isa or 2 na nawala, pero ang malakin gdifference eh yung music, halos kapareho na sya ng sugarfree pero mas maingay lang ng konti.

next on the list was pedicab - ok, vocalist ay si diego mapa (brother of the infamous jao mapa), keyboards is raymund marasigan of sandwich, of course :), mike dizon on drums (from sandwich, cambio, and former teeth's drummer), tapos yung iba di ko na kilala hehe TSURI uli. pedicab's song are heavy on synths, and effects, parang disco na rock, hindi maingay pero weirdo eh.

tumugtog din ung imago - aia (pronounce as a-ya) on vocals, zach on drums (dating NU107 DJ), myrene on bass (of sandwich), and ung lead hmmmm nalimutan ko ung name hehe. some interesting trivia for imago - i think they were more "political" when they started, ung songs nila dati ay malalalim, pero nagchange daw ng religion si aia at zach (i think born again) causing some changes on their songs. sabi ni aia on one interview - lahat daw ng kanta nila ngayon eh puro positive na, ayaw n a daw nya gumawa ng negative songs, hmmm naging pop na nga sila eh.

last but not the least is of course sandwich - basta sobrang astig, nag-rap si raimund nung nag totono pa lang sila ng mga gitara, siempre hindi mawawala ang DVDX, Sugod, pero para sa akin ang highlight ng gabi eh ung mga bago nilang kanta for their next album. akala ko eh tapos na ang surprise pero nung tinugtog nila ang two trick pony biglang lumabas si gabby alipe ng urbandub at nakikanta - muntik na akong maihi sa sobrang excited hehe. next song nila ay ung pinakabago nilang single - ung sunburn, im sur emagiging hit ito since summer na rin.

ayooownnn, natapos ang gig around 3 at kumain kami ni xter sa LSPT. nakahiga na ata ako 4 na, paggising ko kaninang umaga hehe late na.

paseo uno - a valentine review

my baby was again here in manila to actually go to a friend's wedding - but it was also our valentine celebration. my project went to a teambuilding at paseo uno and it was my first time as well. paseo uno is a smorgasborg feast hidden at the heart of the busy makati district - right inside mandarin oriental hotel. the place is really really cozy - it screams of makati's class AAAs standards but still has this aura not to distract other classes as well.

it is composed of 4 food sections - first is what i would like to call the appetizers section. foods in this section can be summarized into 3 words - raws,salads,and breads. hmmm, do not forget to try the cheeses (^_^) - el delicioussooooooooo. kaso parang may kulang sa table nato eh - pero di ata bagay sa theme nila ang mga appetizers na niiisip ko. best food on this section - lahat ng raw (according to rhea)

the second section is the section i din't spent most of my time with - i will just call it the japanese section since this is where you get your dimsums and tempura. the tempuras are great compared to saisaikis, but they do not refill it as often - pero pede ka namang magpaluto kahit kailan eh. weirdest food at this section - nilaga.

the third section is my favorite - the meat section. tbone steak, ribeye, sausages, and veal shanks are the things that will make you forget the price tag that comes along the place - just ask the chefs, and they will roast it for you. best food evar - tbone steaks.

last section is probably the best section for my baby - the dessert section. im sure di nya to malilimutan kasi nakabasag pa sya - haha parang bata :) this section will make sure that your cholesterol/fat experience is complete - they have crepes, chocolate fountain, usual ice cremes, and cakes to fulfill any sweet tooth's fantasies. best thing on this section - ung babasaging lalagyan ng stick :)

Paseo Uno is located inside Mandarin Oriental hotel right along Makati Avenue - just take a cab so you wont get lost. The parking is great and free - and the price is the steepest compared to other hotel's buffet. overall - i will give paseo uno 4 out of 5 spoons. My next stop - circles at shangrila.

weekend surprise

NOTE:i have to re-type this blog since when i tried to post it earlier it resulted to an error - TAE

anyways, my baby "surprised" me last thursday - not sure if we can categorize it as a surprise since i still have to fetch here at the airport (^_^)

punta rin kami laguna kasi may namatay sa cabuyao, hmmmmm as usual nasa sulok lang kami kasi di ko kilala sa pangalan ang mga tao dun - bihira lang kasi bumisita. napicturan ko tuloy si nani - buti na lang.


we went straight to THE mall of asia the next day - the "bus incident" still makes me laugh so hard up to this moment (^_^). We ate at Cafe Breton - MUST TRY: The Original Sin, basta masarap - may apple-apple, ice cream, matatamis na sarsa + crepes. Took a pic of my baby - ok b? (black/white with colored background)
